Come create a beautiful, enameled pair of earrings with Petersburg Alaska artist: Ashley Lohr. In this workshop, participants will learn how to create one-of-a-kind enamel pieces using Thompson powder enamel sifted onto copper blanks. We will discuss enamel consistency, application, prepping, cleaning, stenciling, ombre and sgraffito techniques. This ancient craft of enameling allows for the unique addition of glass color to metal designs by adding heat between 1300* F to 1500*F.

Ashley has over 16 years of experience teaching jewelry to teens at a public school in Alaska and will demonstrate each step along with help participants one-on-one.
