Come learn how to paint mandala flowers pots with us! In this class we will learn five dot painting techniques, and create a beautiful decorative terra-cotta mandala pot to take home. All supplies will be provided, and no experience is necessary. This 3 hour class is best fit for 13 years and older. I do recommend bringing glasses if you wear them and paint appropriate clothes or apron. If you are sick please don't come and share with everyone, we can always do a make up class for you. If you can't make it to class for any reason, just message me for a make up class.

Join us in honoring and celebrating the Harvest Moon, a SuperMoon in the sign of Aries. This event will include a light guided meditation, rune pulls, journal prompts, Samhain candle creation, bay leaf ritual, and snacks. All materials are provided including plenty of luscious wool colors to add to our 6' silk scarf blanks as well as a variety of bling fibers and locks for texture and shine. All materials provided, the cost is $95.

Celebrate the beauty of botanicals and berries in this joyful mixed media art class! We’ll begin with warm-up exercises and a guided introduction to our tools, then move into lessons on creating loose, expressive shapes and pattern-based compositions. This class is perfect for making your own greeting cards, designing one-of-a-kind stationery, or experimenting with patterns that can grow into larger works.

We will explore a wide range of water based mixed media materials, including Caran d’Ache Neocolor water crayons, gouache, water pastels, watercolor pencils, metallics, and watercolor markers, to build layers, textures, and pattern effects.

Each participant will leave with a custom Alaskan berry–inspired watercolor palette and swatch card, featuring high-end Daniel Smith and QoR watercolors, to continue exploring at home.

All levels welcome. All materials provided.

Back by popular demand, paint pouring is an absolutely fun method of creating natural patterns, swirls and cells in any color combination. We'll get to mix up a nice selection of colors to choose from for each of your pieces. All materials are provided, and no experience is needed to join me in pouring some canvases for fun at The Art Lounge in Anchorage! In this class, you get to pour three (3) -8"x10" stretched canvases with the option to pour more of them after your first 3. ($10 additional canvas) While space and supplies last. I will demonstrate at least 5 ways to create dynamic designs on your canvas, however there is no right or wrong way to have fun with this art form! The canvases take some time to dry, so pick up will be on the following Friday from 12 to 9pm. Ages 12 and up for this class. Please wear your "play clothes”. You may bring beverages, but it may be difficult to enjoy snacks at this event.

Join fiber artist Margaret Mackie for a fun and inspiring two-part class where you’ll explore the art of painting with wool. Using vibrant Merino fibers, you'll start with wet felting to form the base of your favorite flower—think poppies, sunflowers, and everything in between! In the second session, you’ll dive into needle felting and embroidery to bring your flower to life with texture and intricate detail. This class is open to all skill levels, no experience needed (ages 12+), and you're welcome to bring a favorite flower photo or choose from provided images. All materials are included—just bring your creativity (and maybe a snack!).

Join me at The Art Lounge AK for this fantastic hands-on class. You'll learn the art of wet felting over a resist. You'll also have the opportunity to experiment with a variety of fibers, adding unique textures and a touch of shine to your pumpkin. Cost is $65 all materials provided.
