Come learn how to eco print with me! You get to dye two scarves in this class. We will be using the natural dyes from local leaves and steam them onto a luxurious silk charmeuse, or wool gauze scarf (14"x74") to leave a beautiful pattern. These would make a lovely gift for someone special or yourself. This is a very easy class for beginners, I have done most of the prep for you, so you only need to design your leaves for the layout, then we bundle them up and let them steam for a couple hours while I tell you all about the process of natural dyes, show you my samples, and give you my favorite online resources for dyes, fabrics, and help.
(Ages 12 & up)
Feel free to bring food and drinks if you like, we have reverse osmosis water and a large tea selection. If you get a ticket and you can't come for any reason you are always welcome to come to another class, if you are sick please don't come and share with everyone, you can message us for a make up class. We want our classes to be affordable for everyone, unsold tickets are offered at half off 2 days before class, call 907-341-9001 to reserve your space.
